Math Enrichment Lab

The Garden Road School will be hosting math classes for homeschoolers together with their students this fall. Susan Midlarsky will be teaching the classes, with Singapore Math, and Learning FUN, as their basis. Activities and materials will be differentiated for each child's abilities within the grouping. The class will follow the school's academic calendar, meeting for 12 sessions. The cost for the semester is $180 per child.

K-2: Meets Tuesdays 12:30-1:30, September 20 - December 13.
3-6: Meets Thursdays 1:30-2:30, September 15 - December 15.

Your Greatest Writing Adventure Ever!

The Garden Road School will host a daytime program for homeschoolers and Garden Road students to take up NaNoWriMo. Led by Susan Midlarsky, this program promises to be a blast! The program will meet Tuesdays, October 18 - December 7 (except November 8) from 1:30-2:30 PM. The cost is $100.

Music Enrichment with Liz Nolf: Ages 5-8

Interested in adding music to your child's home school experience? Come join the children of The Garden Road School K-1-2 class for afternoons filled with musical activities. The program will include singing, rhythm fun, exploration of pitch and other musical concepts, and learning to read music, along with music listening and appreciation. We will also work on social skills and qualities such as cooperation, persistence in the face of difficulty, task focus, and self-regulation - all while having loads of fun! There will be a break for snack and some time for outside play. Liz Nolf has been teaching music in school, camp and private settings for 5+ years, to children of all different ages, abilities, and educational backgrounds. Her greatest love is helping children to experience the joy of making music together. Fee: $200 for 10 weeks. Class is limited to 15 participants and meets Wednesdays, 1-2:30 PM.
